Will Tyler Perry Have to Move Over For Fred Hammond?

Tonight at 9pm EST/8pm CT one of Fred Hammond’s first plays will be featured on Virtual Performances.

The play is called Surviving Williams and it features it’s script writer Fred Hammond as well as (get this)… the cougar actress, Rolanda Rochelle, from the parodies of viral comedian Country Wayne as his wife.

The play is unique flair is that it is relevant to the times as it shows one scenario of how a family seeks God for relief during the Covid 19 pandemic.

Now don’t even ask if there’s going to be music. Unlike the plays of old, we won’t have to wait for the quality of music to get better because the music is also written by this Chief Levite.

Although today it is a new play that will be featured, Hammond is already working on film. The upcoming film, The Choir, Fred describes the scenes as Greenleaf, Power, and Empire on steroids. That would definitely have to be something to see.

If it appears that Fred is just testing the waters, he’s not. The Warehouse, a location Fred has used for years for virtual concerts and music projects, has also been the location of many of his featured theatre works. We can just attribute to these turbulent times the featured and upcoming works from this Grammy award winning artist now coming to the surface.

Here’s Fred describing today’s feature:

Mom’s Reaction Priceless as Award Winning Producer Fred Jerkins Gifts Her A New Mercedes S550!

Mad props to R&B/Gospel Producer Fred Jerkins (aka “Uncle Freddie”) and wife Shannon Jerkins for honoring mom with such a jaw dropping gift for absolutely no particular holiday or occasion. Now this is what I call an aspiration!

He calls it a “Pandemic Blessing!”

Watch the video as Jerkins just casually and randomly states: “Mom, that’s your new car!” and Sylvia Jerkins completely falls out in the car slayed in joy-filled laughter!

Then, keep listening still as Jerkins sends up a private praise… a “Thank you, Jesus! that no one can hear but Jesus, himself, and those of us paying attention. Check it out below:

Official Pictures from the Private Wedding of Phil & Takiyah Thompson

Today more pictures were released from the wedding of Phil Thompson and we are here for it!

The release of popular song My Worship along with other incredible worship songs sent Phil Thompson all across the world doing praise and worship and ministering to the masses!

Somewhere in that time frame Phil met and connected with the lovely Takiyah Romain and now they’ve been united in matrimony. Congratulations again to the Thompson family!

Mainstream Indie Artist Phil Thompson Ties The Knot. Listen To These Incredible Wedding Vows.

Greenville, SC was incredibly blessed to have had Phil Thompson and his amazing team perform at the first IndieGospelMusic Fest Presents Gospel on Main back in 2018 just after his award winning hit My Worship exploded onto social media with absolutely no marketing campaign.

Well now this amazing artist has just tied the knot with a “baddy” named Takiyah Romain.

These love bugs have been at it for a while in a classy subtle yet not so subtle way. Congratulations and blessings to @philthompsonworship and @marvel_tee! We pray you many moments and years of joy and happness.

PS @philthompson. I must say that after I mentioned being introverts in my interview of you, you haven’t been able to let that word go…lol. Much love, brother in Christ and thank you for coming to visit us in the south.

Tyrese Surprises Wife With Romantic Date Night Serenaded by Gospel Artist, Jonathan McReynolds

Tyrese and wife Samantha Gibson is letting the world know they are doing just fine. Just last night Tyrese surprised his wife with a classy decorated rooftop dinner instagrammed at their own abode.

You can’t help but smile as Samantha Gibson wonders around the elaborately decorated rose-pedal scene being delighted by everything. More of Samantha’s charm can be seen as she perpetually announces the name of the black chef who is serving them so that all of social media can be made aware.

Of course the night had to shift with a prayer and blessing from the head of the household, Tyrese, followed by a blindfold being placed over Samantha’s eyes.

And where does it go next?

Flabbergasted by the sound of the acoustic guitar and after immediately guessing the artist after two words sung, Samantha Gibson is “done in.”

…then McReynolds starts to sing the beginning of what should considered one of the greatest songs of all time (one you’d have to be under a rock not to know)

You hear the first lyrics and then you get it (dreamy eyes)!

I find space for what I treasure
I make time for what I want
I choose my priorities and
Jesus you’re my number one…

Beautiful guys! Keep it up! Keep going strong!

Ron Carpenter Hands Over His Life’s Work-The Release of Redemption Church to New Pastor John Gray

The full transition is almost complete save the official installation service of new pastor, John Gray.

One of the most powerful and memorable moments at this farewell service is when Apostle Ron spoke of a (one of a kind) key that he had been carrying with him the entire week. It was the first key when he started the church as a young man in his twenties and it is the only key that will be open any door in the church now  Carpenter told John Gray at his own farewell service.

Ron Carpenter was a man in tears, and for a moment (or two), even as vulnerable as a small boy as he spoke of the struggle to present everything he had built and worked for most of his life to the next man, John Gray.

Tasha Cobbs made a surprise visit. Apostle Carpenter went into yet another tear filled frenzy when he spoke of how a song Tasha Cobbs sings would comfort him on his flights in moments when he was afraid.

“For your glory… I would do anything…just to see you…to behold you as my King.”

Finally, the message stressed the weight and responsibility of catching the baton, in this Christian race, as he read from the Scriptures:

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. – Hebrews 12:1-2

He first charged Pastors John and Aventer Gray with the apostolic call and then the charged entire congregation with the apostolic anointing, but not without a powerful and supernatural blessing of prosperity and protection to follow.

The church will now be known as Relentless Church and the official sign/logo is soon to be placed on the front of the building.

The service closed with a meeting outside where two balloons were released. (See photos below).
